Did Salman give Vivek the cold shoulder yet again?

Did Salman give Vivek the cold shoulder yet again?

Salman Khan is known to be large-hearted, but when it comes to old rival Vivek Oberoi, he does not believe in the 'forgive and forget' theory. At least that is what we heard from those present at Bandra's Mehboob Studios on Monday evening.

Sources say Salman was in studio no 5 for a press conference while director Indra Kumar was shooting for his next, 'Great Grand Masti' with Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani in the vicinity. "Post the media interaction, Salman caught up with Kumar, who took him to the vanity van where all the lead actors of his film were present. He walked in, saw Vivek and immediately exited the van," an onlooker says.

Kumar then apparently followed Salman out along with Riteish, Aftab and lead actress Urvashi Rautela. "The four of them exchanged pleasantries and chatted for a brief while even as Vivek stayed put in the van. Clearly, there's no love lost between them," adds the source.

While Salman and Vivek remained unavailable for comment, a source close to the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star confirms that he met Inder Kumar and says, "But it is not compulsory for all actors to meet each other when they are shooting in the same location; everyone was there for work."

Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi's rivalry is over a decade old. It started after the latter called for a press conference at his residence against the former. In the last couple of years, Vivek has tried apologising to Salman on a few occasions, but has always been snubbed.

Shocking: SRK has a secret bungalow too

Shocking: SRK has a secret bungalow too

Well this news may astound many of those die hard SRK fans, who use to boast about knowing everything about their favourite star. But don't feel bad about it, because you are not the only one who was oblivious about this fact. In fact even many people from tinsel town are not aware of it.

If reports revealed by one of the news sources are to be believed then they suggest that SRK owns a mansion at Alibaugh near "Maya Nagri" Mumbai.

As per reports this bunglow which is spread across an area of 8 acres is a sea facing heaven and has all the modern amenities available in it. What further add to the comfort of this jannat of SRK are facilities like an inhouse swimming pool, a state of art gym and a football ground where SRK spends quality time with his loved ones.

But now the million dollar question i.e. "Why SRK needed this alternate home when he already had Mannat. Well may be to have some private moments with his loved ones.

And what made us think so is the kind of surrounding this bunglow has. Though it is a sea facing mansion at Alibaugh coast, but inspite of that this bunglow has a thick cover of natural vegetation around it and it is this natural vegetation only, which acts as a camouflage for this "home sweet home" of King Khan.

Sharmila Tagore: Hope Bollywood stands united on intolerance issue

Sharmila Tagore: Hope Bollywood stands united on intolerance issue

Vocal on the controversy over intolerance, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore asserted she has faith in Bollywood to remain united on the issue.

"I hope not. I sincerely hope not. So far Bollywood has been absolutely together and my hope and conviction is that they won't be divided," she told the media here at the 21st Kolkata International Film Festival in response to a poser on the film industry being divided.

Sharmila recently said the attacks on writers and artistes were against the basic principles of democracy.

A host of filmmakers, including Dibakar Banerjee, have returned awards and honours as a mark of protest against events like the lynching of a Muslim man in Dadri of Uttar Pradesh over beef, the murder of Kannada rationalist scholar M.M. Kalburgi, and the police "raid" on Delhi's Kerala House.

The "Aradhana" and "Chupke Chupke" actress also finds it offensive to label audiences as "educated or uneducated", "Indian or non-Indian" since she feels cinema is inclusive and elicits response from all.

"I think it's an offensive statement and I don't think you need education (to appreciate films). Anybody who has the quality to respond to cinema would. Don't make such distinctions," Sharmila said when asked on the need to acquire a certain degree of literacy to appreciate good films.

On a lighter side, when asked about any alternative career choice, Sharmila said she would have probably gone to Shantiniketan to learn painting.

"I joined films at the age of 13 in Satyajit Ray's 'Apur Sansar'. The decision was made by Manik da (Satyajit Ray)," she said.

On veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey, who passed away recently, Sharmila said he was a "great bilingual actor" and made the film industry richer. "I can't ever imagine him being glum."
