The "Vicky Donor" actor says that an actor has to give more "attention" to wives as an image of a "romantic" person.

"I feel when you do a lot of romance onscreen also, you actually become a romantic person," he said.

Ayushmann, who started his career with the second season of youth based reality show "MTV Roadies", added that once he was "practical", but romantic roles and songs have changed him.

Salman is very precious to me, says Arbaaz Khan

Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan says his brother and superstar Salman Khan, who has turned 50, is very precious for him, and that their bond is very strong.

"He (Salman) is very precious to me...Our family is such that we are ready to die for each other. We are always together. Even if we lead our life individually and don't interfere in each other's personal life, but if there is a situation where we need each other, then we stand together," Arbaaz said when asked about his bond with Salman.

Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan are the sons of screenwriter Salim Khan and and his first wife Sushila Charak, who later changed her name to Salma Khan.

While Arbaaz is currently co-hosting the couple-based reality show "Power Couple", Salman anchors "Bigg Boss Nau".

Arbaaz credits his father for teaching their family to stay united.

"Our father has taught us that 'if you are together, nobody will try to break you'. That's unity and it has power," he said.

If 'Wazir' is not a thriller then what it is?

If 'Wazir' is not a thriller then what it is?

Actor Farhan Akhtar, who will be seen as investigative officer in "Wazir", says the movie is a heartwarming emotional drama rather than the thriller people think it is going to be.

"There is little bit of the thriller aspect in the film because there is an investigation in the movie. But if you ask me, this movie is all about emotional drama," Farhan said in an interview here.

"The emotional thrust of this film is the most effective thing and that is something which will remain with you. There is a love story and drama of two friends that is something you'll remember about this film once you watch it," added the actor, who stars in the movie with veteran star Amitabh Bachchan.

"Wazir", produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, also features Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

The film tells the story of two unusual friends -- one a paralysed chess grandmaster and another a grief-stricken ATS officer -- brought together by a peculiar twist of fate.

"First, this movie will enter your heart, the drama, love and friendship will touch your heart, and then you might feel the smartness of the film," Farhan said while emphasising on the emotional aspect of the film.

"When we talk about Hindi films, especially our films, they cannot succeed without the emotional connection. That is the most important thing," he added.

The movie will hit screens on January 8 next year.

Check Out: The moment which Farhan enjoyed most with Aditi

Intense action sequences as well as mind games were part of actor Farhan Akhtar's character in "Wazir", but it was a romantic kitchen scene with actress Aditi Rao Hydari, which is his favourite from the forthcoming movie.

"There is a kitchen scene in the movie. It is a reconciliation scene and that stands out for me," Farhan said when asked about his favourite scene in the film.

"You see everyone has their own favorite scene in the movie, but this scene with Aditi stands out for me. It took us four or five days to shoot it due to different reasons... Every time I got ready to reconcile with Aditi, my wife in film, something happened," quipped the actor.

The scene is perhaps the one seen in the song "Tu mere paas", which features in the film's promo. Farhan is seen trying to help an unhappy Aditi in doing the dishes but when he starts leaving after her poor response, she holds him back and they share an intense moment.

"Wazir" is an emotional journey of two unusual friends -- a paralyzed chess grandmaster (Amitabh Bachchan) and a grief-stricken ATS officer (Farhan) -- brought together by a twist of fate.

Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, "Wazir" also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh. The film releases on January 8 next year.

Sonnalli Seygall gets mobbed

Sonnalli came out to dine with her relatives at a popular mall when the incident took place here just last week. The actress flew down to to the capital city for a day to spend some time with her cousin who had come down from China for Christmas.

They wanted the evening to be a private affair so that they could spend some quality family time, and Sonnalli had also planned to take her little nephew and niece to a popular toy store post the dinner. But she never anticipated to draw the crowd she eventually did.

Her cousins were initially amused, and even captured the scene of people pushing each other, but they gradually realised the crowd was getting unruly, and so whisked Sonnalli away, said a source.

Now censor comes to haunt Wazir

Now censor comes to haunt Wazir

"Wazir" could have featured "sensuous and passionate" lovemaking scenes between actors Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari, but the film's makers chose to cut them out to avoid "conflict" with the censor board.

"As part of the film, the duo shot for some very hot and steamy love-making scenes. Whoever had seen the outcome of it felt that they were extremely sensuous and passionate," a source said, adding that the reason for these cuts was "the expected censor board issues".

In an earlier screening, there was a long discussion on the scenes and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra did not want any conflicts with the censor board for the film.

And understandably so, since the censor board has been either snipping or shortening kissing scenes from films like "Spectre" and "Chauranga".

Thus, to avoid any issues, the scenes were cut from the "Wazir" by the filmmakers themselves, before the final screening for the censor board.

Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, "Wazir" stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actor Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles.

The film, distributed by Reliance Entertainment, will release on January 8 next year.

Why did Neetu Kapoor skip Shashi Kapoor's Christmas lunch?

Why did Neetu Kapoor skip Shashi Kapoor's Christmas lunch?

Neetu Kapoor was conspicuous by her absence at the Christmas lunch hosted by Shashi Kapoor. In the past, Neetu has been present at the annual ritual which gets the entire Kapoor khandaan together.

This year, the new entrant to the gathering was Katrina Kaif who accompanied beau Ranbir Kapoor. Kat even gave a skip to the Christmas celebrations back home in London to attend the event. In the past, there has been buzz about Neetu and Katrina's strained relations.

During Holi this year, Neetu had posted a snapshot of Ranbir and Deepika Padukone from the 'Balam Pichkari' track of their film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' (2013).

Last year, Neetu had shared a picture from a family event, but had cropped Katrina out of it, while Ranbir's sister, Ridhima had shared the original version.

Shocking Connection: Nimrat, Drugs and Bollywood

Shocking Connection: Nimrat, Drugs and Bollywood

Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur says she has tried marijuana once in her life, but never thought of making it a daily habit.

Asked whether she has tried cannabis or marijuana, Nimrat said in an interview for Culture Machine's "UnBlushed" series: "It is something that I have tried, but it isn't something that I do as a part of my regular life."

Nimrat, who came into limelight through her role in internationally acclaimed film "The Lunchbox" and played a pivotal character in US political thriller TV series "Homeland", said coming into showbiz was a "weird thing" for her.

"There is no one day that you wake up and you are like 'I want to be an actor'. I was academically quite inclined, so wanting to be an actor was a very weird thing to admit, even to myself.

"Because I don't have anyone in my family who is an artist, just the vocabulary of being an actor didn't exist," Nimrat said.

This apart, Nimrat also shared her thoughts on feminism and fitness.

She said she doesn't have a take on feminism "because I don't think I understand the term very well".

"I haven't thought about it. What I do believe in is equality. There are issues that do disturb me when I read about things like domestic violence, what women have to go through... That is very disturbing. What I can do at my level, I try doing," said Nimrat, who is also not concerned with Bollywood's obsession with thin actresses.

In fact, she believes in being healthy and in being what she is.

"It's great to see yourself in different hair and make-up. Its great to see yourself in different outfits. And what's bad about staying healthy as long as I am not killing myself over it?

"I am not obsessive about my dress size. I know my body is a certain way and I am comfortable with it. I am happy to repeat shoes, I am happy repeating outfits. It doesn't matter," she said.

Nimrat will be next seen onscreen in "Airlift" alongside actor Akshay Kumar.

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, "Airlift", which is based on the biggest evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war, will release on January 22 next year.

Why Priyanka is mum about Kalpana Chawla biopic

Why Priyanka is mum about Kalpana Chawla biopic

Actress Priyanka Chopra chooses to stay mum on speculations that she has been approached for a proposed biopic on Kalpana Chawla, an Indian-American astronaut.

"There are bunch of films that have been offered to me, I can't commit which one I am doing. There are few really amazing scripts. I have lot of choices, but not much time," Priyanka said when asked if she would be part of the Kalpana Chawla biopic.

Kalpana first flew on space shuttle Columbia in 1997 as a mission specialist and primary robotic arm operator. In 2003, she was one of the seven crew members who died in the space shuttle disaster.

Priyanka has been part of biopic "Mary Kom", and the film had got good response from everyone.

"There are six films, I can do only two between India and America. I don't know what I will end up doing. It's difficult to decide," she said.

The 33-year-old actress reveals that due to the success of American TV show "Quantico", it has got extended and hence she can't do many films.

"The show 'Quantico' has got extended so I am caught up with it. We have dubbed 'Quantico' in 44 languages like Italian, Spanish, German, etc. We have got very good response for the show...so from 13 episodes to 22 episodes," she said.

"I did not expect this kind of response for the show.

I can only do two films and I am in a predicament of deciding what to do next," she said.

There is buzz that the "Barfi!" actress is likely to team up with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a third film.

"We have been speaking for three-four films of which one to do first. He also has to make his mind which he wants to work on first. I am limited for time," she said.

Also, there were reports that Priyanka has been approached to be part of Salman Khan-starrer "Sultan", but she rubbished them.

"I have never been approached for 'Sultan'," she said.

Salman Khan on 50th birthday: It feels like I am turning 27

Salman Khan on 50th birthday: It feels like I am turning 27

Salman Khan may be turning 50 today, but the Bollywood superstar says he still feels 27 is the perfect age for him.

"I am turning 27. I think 27-year-old is the right age. I have always like that age. I am not scared about ageing. It is always going to be 27. So what is there to be scared off. It is a part of my journey," Salman told PTI in an interview.

Salman, the son of noted writer Salim Khan, made his debut with a supporting role in "Biwi Ho To Aisi". His next release "Maine Pyar Kiya" directed by Sooraj Barjatya, gave his Bollywood career a much needed push.

Over the years, he has gained a great fan base courtesy his films like "Hum Aapke Hain Koun", "Karan Arjun", "Biwi No.1", "Hum Saath Saath Hain", "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Dabangg", "Bodyguard", "Ek Tha Tiger", "Kick", "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", etc. The actor addressed as "Bhaijaan" of Bollywood is also involved in humanitarian work and tries to help the underprivileged through his charity organization "Being Human".

His life has been marred by many controversies and legal troubles over his tumultuous relationships, hunting of the endangered Chinkara deer, and the 2002 hit-and-run case.

However, 2015 was a great year for Salman, both personally and professionaly. His performance in Kabir Khan-directed film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" were appreciated and both the films went on to became huge box office successes.

On the personal front Salman had a major relief in the face of Bombay High Court's verdict in the 2002 hit-and-run case acquitting him of all charges.

But the "Dabangg" star got caught in a controversy again after he posted series of tweets suggesting 1993 Mumbai serial blasts convict Yakub Memon was innocent and should not be hanged for the acts of his brother Tiger.

The actor later withdrew the tweets and apologized after criticism by his father Salim Khan.

Salman, whose love life has always made headlines is currently said to be dating Romanian girl Lulia Vantur, and is rumoured to be taking his relationship to next level by making it official sometime in 2016.

Lulia also featured in Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's home production film "O Teri" in 2014.

2015 Rewind: 8 lessons Bollywood taught us

As they say, nothing goes waste. As the year comes to a close, hitlist sifts through the hits and flops and controversies of 2015 to see the gems of lessons, some sweet and some bitter, that came out of them...

Music has boundaries and bullies do win sometimes.

Ghulam Ali

Shiv Sena yet again reared its head to protest against Pakistani Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali from performing in Mumbai. Ali chose not to perform anywhere else in India.

Nobody's a holy cow

Bombay Velvet

The giant disaster called 'Bombay Velvet' was a clear example that you could take one of country's hotshot and maverick directors to pair with one of the most promising stars, but it won't guarantee success. Some call it lack of focus, some arrogance, but the truth is there is no fixed formula for anything.

Exes can be friends, especially if there is also a film promotion involved

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have always maintained that they share a cordial relationship even after their break-up; call us cynical but the professing of undying love for each other just before the release of their film together was a little hard to digest, even then.

In the testosterone-driven world of cricket, a woman's presence can only be a distraction

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.

It started from India's tour of England last year and continued during this year's semi-finals. When Virat Kohli performed badly on the pitch, fans looking for a scapegoat, chose to blame his 'jinxed' actress-girlfriend Anushka Sharma. Ironically, when Kohli regained form, she was not given any credit.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

Who would think that Sooraj Barjatya will be introduced to the special pair of scissors that the Censor Board so proudly possesses (for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo')?

Sooraj Barjatya

Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan

The biggest stars of the biggest democratic nation of the world, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan 'dared' to speak about growing intolerance in the country, and there was an immediate and ugly backlash from people, political parties, bhakts and their idle uncles.

Success is a responsibility
His supremely confident debut Queen put director Vikas Bahl on a pedestal. However, it didn't take long for him to be brought down to mother earth, with his drug addled mess called 'Shaandaar'.

Bond can do everything, but can't kiss for more than 007 seconds in India

James Bond

The Censor Board's sometimes archaic, sometimes haphazard manner of functioning, how could one forget that James Bond fans were not allowed to watch their hero smooch the delicious Monica Bellucci for 'too long' in Spectre. The board was worried a kiss lasting for a few more seconds would corrupt the impressionable minds. (No looking for logic here, please. We have given up on that exercise a while ago.)

Kriti Sanon irked over co-passenger watching pirated print of ‘Dilwale’

Actress Kriti Sanon’s second Bollywood venture ‘Dilwale’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Varun Dhawan in lead roles is running successfully in theatres and the actress is quite pleased with the response. However, a recent experience has left the ‘Heropanti’ actress fuming.
Kriti was travelling with her mom to Delhi when she lost her cool after she saw a fellow passenger unabashedly watching a pirated version of her latest movie ‘Dilwale’ in the flight. The man used his phone projector to screen the movie on the plane walls.
