Deepak Dobriyal scores his fourth award, this year

Deepak Dobriyal scores his fourth award, this year

The legendary Akira Kurosawa had an actor Takashi Shimura in almost all his films. Actor Deepak Dobriyal with his simple persona and the amazing chameleon-like ability to blend into any character that he essays is one such actor whom every director repeats with pleasure. Whether it be Vishal Bharadwaj, Anurag Kashyap or Aanand L Rai, each of them crates a space for Deepak Dobriyal to bring out the best in the character written for him.

No wonder then that Pappi Bhaiya graduated from Tanu Weds Manu I to II and how! The actor has bagged his awards at the Renault Producer Guild Awards, Big Star Entertainment Awards, Star Screen Awards and now TOIFA, Dubai.

"I always loved the zinda-dil character of Pappi, right from the time it was narrated to me," confesses Deepak. "When I was shooting for Tanu Weds Manu I, I had just undergone an appendix operation and was a little apprehensive. But it went off so well. I was a little nervous with Tanu Weds Manu 2, but the moment the first day opening happened, it was party all the way."

The interesting part is that the party is still on the entire year with Deepak Dobriyal bagging four awards in a row. "You can say that," grins Deepak. "Normally, people click selfies with you, but in Dubai there was so much of familial feeling with everyone pulling me literally into their frames screaming Pappi. I couldn't leave the party and missed my flight. This is the first time that I have missed any flight. And that too an international one," grins the actor.

Nevertheless, unfazed by fame, Pappi bhaiya is now in Agra shooting his next film, his characteristic smile adorning his face. Probably it is this simplicity that is the key to his success!

Being an actor requires one to go deep and, often time very seriously; almost too seriously. Young actors are serious about their work and don't take any time out from it. Quite often we hear of their busy schedules and insane shoot hours. Despite this, our Bollywood actors manage to be punctual and stay true to their profession. As Tanuj promotion dates clashed with his holiday plans, the actor was in quite a plight. But being a true professional Tanuj decided to wrap up his "One Night Stands" commitments before taking his much-needed break.

Tanuj Virwani said, "I love to party and to have fun but work come first for me. As my priority is acting so I have to do all needed thing which is require for my profession."

What Kareena has to say about plans to revive RK Films?

What Kareena has to say about plans to revive RK Films?

15 years since RK Films made any films and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan reveals as of now there are no plans of reviving the banner.

Time and again there have been rumours that RK Films, the banner established by the late filmmaker Raj Kapoor, will be revived.

"There are no plans of reviving the banner. We have not thought about it. My grandfather had made so many films and launched such a good established banner. We made some really good films but at the moment there is nothing happening," Kareena told PTI.

Kapoor established RK Films in 1948. The films made under the banner include "Aag", "Barsaat", "Awaara", "Boot Polish", "Jagte Raho", "Shri 420", "Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai", "Mera Naam Joker", "Bobby", "Satyam Shivam Sundaram", " Ram Teri Ganga Maili" and others.

When Kapoor died in 1988 in the middle of shooting "Henna", his son Randhir took over the studio.

Randhir Kapoor directed "Henna", "Dharam Karam", while Rajiv Kapoor helmed "Prem Granth" and Rishi Kapoor made "Aa Ab Laut Chalen" in 1999 which was the last film made under the banner.

The Kapoor family has presided over show business across four generations from Prithviraj Kapoor to Raj Kapoor to his three sons -- Randhir, Rishi and Rajiv -- to Karisma, Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor.

"I am a great mix of both my parents (Randhir Kapoor and Babita). I am little bit like my sister (Karisma). I am a true blue Kapoor by heart when it comes to my emotions, physicality, my comic timing, approach, zest and energy towards life," Kareena, 35, said.

"I love food and life. I am a positive girl. I am an amalgamation of everyone in my family," she said.

Kareena entered filmdom in 2000 with J P Dutta's "Refugee". It's been almost 16 years and the "Jab We Met" actress has entertained the audiences through films like "Aitraaz", "Chameli", "Dev", "Golmaal" series, "3 Idiots", "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and others.

"I don't think there is any worst part of being in the industry today. I am an industry child, I have grown up here and I love films. For me this (films) is my home," she adds.

The actress is excited about her next release "Ki and Ka" opposite Arjun Kapoor. The R Balki directed film releases on April 1.

Celebration time! Here's what National Award winners have to say

Celebration time! Here's what National Award winners have to say

With Bollywood's major titles dominating this year's National awards, winners Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and "Baahubali" producers said the honour came as a huge recognition and encouragement.

Ranaut, who turned 29 last week, said her best actress win for "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", is a great birthday present. "It is the best birthday gift I could have got. I am thrilled and feel blessed especially since Mr Bachchan is the best actor with me," Kangana Ranaut said in a statement.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali dedicated his honour for "Bajirao Mastani" to his mother, saying she always wanted him to win a National award. "This is my first national award as a director it is really very special to me. My mother always prayed that I should get one and here I get it. Her prayers are answered," Bhansali told PTI.

Neeraj Ghaywan, who won best debut director, said he is humbled to receive this honour as it was unexpected.

"We wanted to make an honest film and never thought it would win so many awards and get such recognition. I am filled with gratitude but more than that it is important for me to guard my humility."

Director-producer Vishal Bhardwaj, who won the best adapted screenplay award this year for crime drama "Talvar", said, it will give him a boost.

"This is my seventh award. I am very happy this time as it's a for a film like 'Talvar', whose story needed to be told. This is my second film alone as a writer so it gives me confidence, a boost to write.

"Initially, when my producer told me about the award I couldn't believe it. I wanted to hear and see it myself. The congratulatory messages made me feel it's true. In the evening I will party with my team," Bhardwaj told PTI.

"I am elated and thankful. For me, the biggest victory was when women used to say they relate to Deepika Padukone and Mr Amitabh Bachchan's part in the film. The National award is a huge thing as it's my first. The feeling is yet to sink in. Once I reach home I will pinch myself and scream. It's a moment of celebration," Juhi Chaturvedi told PTI.

Here are some reactions from the film fraternity...

"Baahubali", a multilingual drama, was declared the best feature film by an 11-member jury, headed by Ramesh Sippy. Its actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati and producer Shobu Yarlagadda, said the National award win reconfirmed their faith in the film.

"It is overwhelming that 'Baahubali' has been recognised as the best film at the National Awards. Playing the role of Baahubali was one of the most special things of my career. I'm very thankful to Rajamouli sir to have the faith in me to play such an important part of the film," Prabhas said.

Daggubati, who played the antagonist in the drama, said making "Baahubali", claimed to be the most expensive Indian movie, was a huge risk that paid off.

"I am thrilled. We took a risk and attempted something different with 'Baahubali'. The box office results showed the love of audience for our film. Now with this award we feel honored. We are thankful to the jury," Rana Daggubati said. "It's an acknowledgment of the entire teams hard work and commitment over last few years. We are also delighted to have won the National Award for Best VFX!," producer Shobu Yarlagadda said.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who played Salman's love interest in the cross-border drama, said, "'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is the greatest film of our times. It spoke a lot about humanity, love, support and integrity. So, I am really proud of the film. Of course great going for Kabir Khan and Salman who actually believed in the script and made this film happen."

Director Shoojit Sircar said he was "ecstatic" to see his film "Piku" win two awards -- best actor for Bachchan and best original screenplay and dialogue to Juhi Chaturvedi, who shared it with Himanshu Sharma of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns'".

With his production venture "Visaranai" bagging three National Awards including best Tamil film, Tamil film star Dhanush today said the joy was "triple."

"Three awards for 'Visaranai' mean triple the joy and I am duty bound to thank (the film's) director Vetrimaran," he said in a statement here.

Yash Raj Films discovers Croatia for SRK's 'Fan'

Yash Raj Films' ground-breaking new film starring SRK is making a mark in multiple ways. Apart from its innovative VFX and intriguing storyline, FAN has become the first film from India to be shot in Croatia.

'Angry' Virat Kohli lashes out at trolls for targeting Anushka Sharma

The world might be singing praises of Indian swashbuckler Virat Kohli for single-handedly guiding India to the semi-finals of the ICC World Twenty20 but the man of the moment is angry.

Reason? His split with Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma became the subject of most of the trolls 'celebrating' her split with the Indian star.

Most of the messages and jokes which were being circulated took a dig at how the gorgeous beauty's presence in Virat's life was nothing but a distraction. Some even blamed her for being the negative force.

While the memes and jokes were circulated every time Virat weaved magic with his willow, this time the young cricketer did not take it lying down.

Virat Kohli, took to Twitter blasting people for trolling Anushka by stating that she has only given him 'positivity'.

Here is what he has tweeted...

He also posted a longer message on his Instagram account.

This not the first time Virat has slammed people for hate ful attack on Anushka Sharma. After India's World Cup semifinal loss to Australia, more than Virat, it was his then girlfriend Anushka who bore the brunt of fans ire.

Just after the World Cup loss, another googly came from former cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar who made a reference to his then lady-love.

Initially, 'Jagga Jasoos' was slated to hit screens sometime in October or November 2014, but due to prior commitments by its lead actors the film's release date has been pushed to June and now to August 2016.

"The film is progressing pretty. We are shooting overseas. There are ups and downs (while shooting for a film), but we all want to ensure that the movie turns out to be really good," Siddharth Roy Kapur, producer and MD of Disney India, told reporters here at an event, when asked if falling out of the actors affected the film's shooting.

Roy Kapur, husband of actress Vidya Balan, has seen some rushes of the film, being directed by Anurag Basu, and is quite happy with the outcome. "It (shooting the film) has been (on) a while but we are really happy with whatever we have seen and the footage is spectacular. Anurag Basu is someone who is supposed to be left alone and then he does best," he said.

Roy Kapur was addressing reporters at an exclusive India footage screening of upcoming American film, "The Jungle Book" directed by Jon Favreau. The film stars Indian-American actor Neel Sethi as Mowgli. Actors Priyanka Chopra, Irrfan Khan and Nana Patekar have lent their voices for the Hindi version of Disney's upcoming American release.

Priyanka has lent her voice to 'Kaa', the python, Irrfan to friendly bear 'Baloo', and Patekar to 'Shere Khan'. "Nana Patekar was our first choice for voice over. We wanted to cast known voices to each of these parts because each of these parts are well known. So we want to get voices which are recognised," Roy Kapur said.

"We made up our list and we had our first choice and the second and third and thankfully all our first choices said yes to us. Like Priyanka was saying just to voice 'Kaa' when you have grown up with these characters is something special," he added.

R. Balki doesn't 'borrow' for reel from real

Filmmaker R. Balki, who has made heart-warming films like 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Paa', says his new movie 'Ki & Ka' is an "imaginary story" as he does not believe in borrowing from real life to show on reel.

"This film ('Ki & Ka') is not inspired by anybody's life. It is just an imaginary story... I don't believe borrowing things from real life. I think films should also add something to life," Balki told the media here while promoting the forthcoming movie.
The filmmaker hopes that the audience takes back something from the film to implement in their lives.
"Hopefully with this film, people say 'I want to live like this, I want to be in love like this or even fight like this'," he added.
A romantic-comedy film, it revolves around actor Arjun Kapoor's character Kabir, who is a house-husband and Kareena Kapoor Khan's character Kia, who is a career-oriented woman. The film is about the relationship that the two share and how society sees their relationship.
Slated to release on April 1, 'Ki & Ka' also has a cameo by megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his actress-politician wife Jaya.

Amitabh, 73, will be seen making a cameo with his actress-politician wife Jaya for the film, which also stars actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The 'Ishaqzaade' star also said that it was a "surreal moment" for him to work with Big B.
"A surreal moment when you work with coolest actor/star in our industry. Felt like a child on set with him Amitabh Bachchan," Arjun tweeted.
Directed by R. Balki, 'Ki & Ka' revolves around gender equality. Arjun plays the role of a house husband, while Kareena plays a career-oriented woman.
This is not the first time that Amitabh has been a part of Balki's film.
The cine-icon has worked with the talented filmmaker in films like 'Paa', 'Shamitabh' and 'Cheeni Kum'.

Anurag Kashyap: Need to fight own battle to make it big in industry

Anurag Kashyap, who has created his own space in Indian film industry, says it was his passion for cinema that helped him carve a niche for himself despite many hardships.
Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Kashyap
The 43-year-old 'Bombay Velvet' director, was in the city to deliver a lecture on "creative writing" at Banaras Hindu University. "You have to do things on your own and have to fight your own battle, in order to make your place in the industry," Anurag said.
Sharing his own struggles, the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' helmer revealed that after being denied direct entry in Prithvi theater, he decided to take up the job of a waiter in it's canteen. "This was how I got the entry inside the Prithvi theater and then soon started mingling with everyone and started taking up works as a scriptwriter and other small jobs there," he said.
Kashyap told students that his passion for work in the film industry in the initial days made him do things beyond his imagination and when he got the work of script writing and film direction he accepted it without expecting any money in return. The director said the '90s era was tough for aspiring filmmakers to make it big in the industry, but now thanks to internet, people have a platform to present their work to the world.
"New boost for cinema is now the availability of internet, you can upload your work online now," he said. Kashyap said that Indian censor board is better in comparison to countries like Iran and others, where some of the directors had to face jail. "There are always pros and cons," he said.
Anurag was accompanied by his filmmaker brother Abhinav Kashyap, who made his directorial debut with Salman Khan starrer 'Dabangg'. Talking about his struggle, he said he had a tough time convincing filmmakers about his script before Salim Khan decided to make the film.
"I roamed for two-three years with my script of 'Dabangg,' it was rejected by many filmmakers. Then Salman Khan's father Salim Sahab chose the script and sold his land to arrange money to make this movie," Abhinav said. The director said he first writes and then thinks as it gives him a material to work on and make it better.

Kareena Kapoor Khan: 'Ki & Ka' not a documentary on women empowerment

Kareena Kapoor Khan may be playing an independent career-oriented woman in her upcoming film 'Ki & Ka', but the actress says the movie is not about women empowerment.
Kareena Kapoor Khan

The 35-year-old actress, who was in the capital along with co-star Arjun Kapoor to promote the R Balki-directed movie, said the film is not trying to bring any change in the society.
"Films are a medium of entertainment first. This movie is not a documentary on women empowerment or gender equality or is aimed to bring about a change in the society.
"People can see the film and enjoy it and if after watching it they take back so message thats an add on. But this movie is no where an revolution," Kareena told reporters.
The movie stars Arjun, 30, as Kabir, who decides to be a homemaker while, his wife pursues high-climbing corporate job.
The makers initially focused on the unusual storyline of the movie but Arjun says it is more about freedom of choice than on gender equality.
"The film is not dedicated to women empowerment. It is about the society which should treat men and women equally.
Everyone should be free to make choices. We are not the torch bearers of women empowerment. I feel women are very empowered and we need to respect that," Arjun said.
Balki, whose last outing was 'Shamitabh', also agreed with the lead pair saying that he never wrote any of his stories with an intention to give a social message.
"I have never ever made a film with a message. I don't write a film keeping in mind the social issues. I just want to tell a story which is entertaining and fun.
"In the process of telling the story, if somebody gets a message well and good. But I think the fundamental purpose of the film is entertainment," he said.
'Ki & Ka' will be released on April 1 by Eros International.

Arjun Kapoor: 'Ki & Ka' not meant to deliver message

Arjun Kapoor, who believes that cinema reflects what happens in the society, says his new movie 'Ki and Ka' is not aimed at delivering a message but he feels it could start a discussion on the concept of house husbands.

"When we started with this film, we did not think of this as a documentary or we want to get a revolution... Cinema is not enough to bring that. Cinema shows what happens in a society. If there are little discussions that start happening on house husbands, then we will believe that something is happening," Arjun told reporters, while promoting the film here on Monday.
The 'Ishaqzaade' actor, who will be seen playing a house husband named Kabir to actress Kareena Kapoor Khan's character in the film, says they will consider it a success of sorts if the movie helps people to talk about lending a helping hand in the house.
"Men, who share a helping hand at home feel embarrassed (to talk about it)... At least with this film, a discussion would start. But we have not made it for delivering a message, this is totally an entertainment based film," he added.
The 30-year-old actor says the film, which is directed by R. Balki, will "have a positive influence".
"Our film is trying to say that we should not differentiate between gender," he added.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali: Kangana outstanding but wish Deepika had won

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Monday said Kangana Ranaut, who on Monday won the National Award for best actress for 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns', is an "outstanding actress", but he would have liked Deepika Padukone to win the award for 'Bajirao Mastani'.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali

"Kangana is an outstanding actress but deep in my heart, I wished Deepika or Priyanka had won. Deepika's performance was splendid and Priyanka was fantastic too," he said at a press conference.
"However, as the jury thought Kangana was the better choice, I agree she has done a fabulous job in 'Tanu Weds Manu returns'. I am very happy for Kangana but as a director-producer, I wanted Priyanka or Deepika to win," said Bhansali, who won the best director award for 'Bajirao Mastani'.
Asked about working with Kangana in future, the 'Devdas' director said: "I can't talk about the future. It depends on planning."
The 53-year-old director said filmmaking was a liberty and not a responsibility for him.
"I don't make films for awards or box office collection. My first preference is always audience. The audience's love is sufficient for me."
Ranveer Singh was also not chosen for the National Award for best actor, which went to Amitabh Bachchan for his portrayal of Bhaskor Banerjee in 'Piku'.
For Kangana, this was her third National Award. She has previously won for her performance in 'Queen' and as a supporting actress for Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Fashion'.

Ajay Devgn: I consider film award events as software for television

Ajay Devgn's aversion to awards ceremonies is well known, but the Padma Shri awards hold a different meaning altogether for him. The actor talks about his Padma award win and more
Ajay Devgn, who was honoured with the Padma Shri yesterday, felt a tad zoned out when he touched down in New Delhi just hours before the high profile felicitation event. The actor flew into the country after almost three months — he had been shooting in Bulgaria and before that, in Portugal, for his upcoming directorial venture, 'Shivaay'.

Says Devgn, "I landed in Delhi post 2 am. We got to the hotel much later and I had to be at the Rashtrapati Bhavan before 11 am. In Bulgaria, it's freezing cold and here, it is terribly hot. Three months of cold still makes me feel the chills."
The star's aversion to awards ceremonies is well known, but the Padma awards hold a different meaning altogether for him. He admits, "I do not go for film award events because I consider them as software for television. The Padma honour is in a different league. It is the highest civilian honour given to achievers from different fields. You are truly recognised for what you are."
His actress-wife Kajol and children Nysa (12) and Yug (5), who were with him in Bulgaria, did not accompany him to the ceremony. "They headed to Mumbai, but they were even more excited than I am. They felt it was a huge deal — visiting the Rashtrapati Bhavan; there is an aura around it. It is a formal affair with several luminaries around. When you go up on the stage and receive the honour from the President who congratulates you, you are filled with national pride."
The actor also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the event. He adds. "I also interacted with archer Deepika Kumari who was honoured there." The youngster, on her part, had a fangirl moment with her matinee idol.
Ajay Devgn had picked up the suit he wore on the occasion in Bulgaria. "Since I was busy with my shoot, I had told my film designer Niharika Bhasin to shop for it in Bulgaria," he adds. The actor reveals the overseas shoot of 'Shivaay', which is slated for a Diwali release, is finally complete. "A shooting stint in Mumbai will follow soon," he signs off.

Arjun Kapoor is yet to get a National Award, but the actor says winning the honour is always on the bucket list of any artist from the film industry as they are the most credible ones.

The 30-year-old actor, who was in the capital yesterday to promote his film "Ki & Ka," said getting honoured by the government is always special and the industry cherishes it more than anything.
"We (film industry) really value the honours given by our country and government. Every Indian works towards getting recognized by the government. I remember my father (Boney Kapoor) winning a National Award for "Pukar" and my chachu (Anil Kapoor) winning the National award, they were genuinely emotional.
"These awards tell us if we are heading in the right direction. National awards are credible, they are even more important to us. Getting recognized by the government of our country is always special," Arjun said.
The winners of 63rd National Film Awards were announced today. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan won best actor for "Piku", Kangana Ranaut received the best actress honour, SS Rajamouli's magnum opus "Baahubali" was announced the best feature film and Sanjay Leela Bhansali won the best director honour for "Bajirao Mastani".

The 'Queen' actress, 70, has been with director Taylor Hackford since 1986 but married in 1997. She has two stepchildren from husband Hackford's previous relationship, reported Daily Mirror.
"I love children, they are so funny and so sweet, but I never wanted my own. I have never had a moment of regret about not having children. Well, I lie. When I watched the movie, Parenthood, I sobbed for about 20 minutes.
"It was about the whole story of being a parent and how it never stops, even when you're a grandparent. I realised I would never experience that, and for about 20 minutes, I sobbed for the loss of that and the fact that I never experienced it," she said.
She added, "Then I got over it and I was happy again."

Pataky, who has three-year-old daughter India and two-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan with the actor, says it is "hard work" enough raising the young trio, and she will be ready to return to her career once they're a bit older, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"We're not thinking of having any more. I'm making a stand. Three children is enough, it's hard work," Pataky told HELLO! magazine.

"For me it is very important to spend all the time I can with them when they're at this age but now that I can see them growing up a bit, I also want to work and get back to what I like. If we had more children it would complicate things."

'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' gets official title

Los Angeles: The upcoming 'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' has been officially named 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' and is set to release on June 16, 2017.
Taron Egerton is back as Eggsy who teams up with Kingsman's American counterpart, The Statesman, after the British spy organization was destroyed in the first film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A sneak peek at The Stateman's headquarters is offered in one of the concept arts. One other artwork gives a glimpse at an underwater vehicle and the other picture shows Poppyland, the lair of the devilish character played by Julianne Moore.
"I didn't know if I wanted to direct this or not. I was worried about the villain. Spy films are only as good as their villains. Then one morning I woke up with the whole storyline in place, and a new villain plot," Matthew Vaughn said.
"You try not to read what people want, but they do want another church sequence. I have no reason for another massacre to happen. But I have other sequences you've never seen before."
The anticipated action sequences are expected to include a skiing scene, a barroom scuffle, metal dogs and one-armed henchmen.
Halle Berry is expected to play a spy working for The Stateman while Mark Strong will reprise his role as Eggsy's ally Merlin. It's unclear whether or not Colin Firth will return as Eggsy's mentor.

Did Kim Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner leak former's sex tape?

Los Angeles: Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner reportedly planned to leak her x-rated sex tape with former boyfriend Ray J to make her a superstar, claims a new book.

Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian.  Kim filed a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment who distributed the X-rated video that was shot back in 2003 was leaked, and now a new book called "Kardashian Dynasty: The Controversial Rise of America's Royal Family" by Ian Halperin claims it was all part of a big plan, reports to pagesix.com.
Investigative journalist and author Halperin quotes a source from the "adult film industry", who told him: "A mutual friend of Kim and Paris (Hilton) had advised her that if she wanted to achieve fame, a sex tape would be the way to go... Kim had discussed the idea of producing a tape with her family beforehand."
Halperin goes on claiming that an old friend of Kim once told him: "It was Kris who engineered the deal behind the scenes and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day," noting that the allegation had long been circulating in the showbiz world.
He further supported his claim with a statement by a Vivid spokesperson, who told him, "When it comes to... selling a sex tape, both parties need to sign off," suggesting that both Kim and her then partner had agreed to the release of the sex tape before it was made public.
The representative for Vivid reportedly detailed how it got its hand on the sex tape.
"A third party brought it to Vivid .... (We) got in touch with the Kardashian family," the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said that celebrities usually didn't get paid when a sex tape was leaked, "so why not work for us, and we'll make sure that it will not only get out, but that it will be distributed the way you want."
Halperin concludes in his book, "It is clear that Vivid would not have announced plans to distribute Kim's tape without a clear indication from the family that they would give the go-ahead once they had come to terms on a price."
A rep for Kim, however, has denied the claim, telling Page Six, "All the assertions are false."

Daughter Peaches' death left Bob Geldof contemplating suicide

The 64-year-old was left devastated following the death of the TV presenter, who died from a drugs overdose in 2014 at the age of 25, and while in mourning he started to make lists of the "upsides" and "downsides" of being alive, but a phone conversation with a friend ultimately saved him, reports mirror.co.uk.
"I'd make lists and keep working at the writing of those lists until the upside overwhelmed the downside. In my case I wrote down, 'What's the upside of being alive?' and 'What's the downside of it?' Was it ever really serious? Overall, no. In that moment, though, perhaps it was," Geldof told Sunday Independent.
"I had the sanity, luckily, to phone a friend and tell him, 'Look I think I'm just starting to get rationally irrational.' He almost slapped my face (with his tone) and said, 'Don't do anything f*****g stupid, stay exactly where you are' and came around very quickly. People talk you through these things," he added.

Neel Sethi loves 'Golgappas', finds India different from New York

Child actor Neel Sethi who is seen as 'Mowgli' in the upcoming American film 'The Jungle Book' loves India and especially 'Golgappas' (Pani-Puri), a street snack.

This is not the first time that Neel has come to India he has been here before. "I have come to India before as my grandparents are here. I love India because this is my home. This is so different from usual New York from where I come. It's so different and cool," he said.
One special fondness that the 12-year-old-actor has of India is eating Golgappas (Pani-Puri). "...Golgappas (Pani-Puri) I can have 27 in one go. I tried to beat my sister but that did not happen," Neel said on a lighter note.
According to Neel, Indian movies are very cool and different and he likes to see them. With the first look and trailer of 'The Jungle Book' all out there, Neel is seen all over and is treated like a star.
Is he treated differently at home, pat comes the reply, "Not at all, not one bit. My sister still beats me to the ground." Directed by Jon Favreau, "The Jungle Book" narrates the story of an orphan boy 'Mowgli' who is raised in the jungle with the help of a pack of wolves, a bear, and a black panther.
"'Balu the Bear' is my favourite character because he is so full spirit. He cares but he doesn't want to worry that much, he is very happy and calm," Neel said.
Neel had great time shooting for fantasy adventure film "The Jungle Book". "It was so cool and different. I have never done this before so I think this is normal and really nice. I just went along with it (the flow) because I didn't know what to do. I just followed Jon (Jon Favreau)," he said. The Jungle Book will release in the country on April 8, a week before coming out in the US.

The 'Star Wars' hero has become synonymous with the brown jacket he has donned for the movie franchise, including a leather version he wore for the latest installment - "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", reported Vanity Fair.
Now Harrison, 73, said the jacket is up for grabs at an upcoming auction, with proceeds going to the New York University's Langone centre.
"I was wearing it throughout the film," he said, confirming about the auction. However, he admitted that he would have a difficult task getting it back off one of the doctors at the research facility.
Ford's daughter Georgia Ford, 25, has not had an epileptic seizure for the past eight years after being treated at the NYU Langone. Prior to that however, she was repeatedly misdiagnosed and was even prescribed migraine medicine for many years before getting a proper diagnosis as a teenager.

The movie based on a collection of short stories by India born English author Rudyard Kipling goes deep into the heart of Indian jungles and tells the tale of a young boy raised by a pack of wolves. Back in the day, not many things could match the public's love for the longhaired boy and his adventures with the formidable Shere Khan.

One can imagine then the onus that lies on the young boy who will portray the character on screen. Enter Neel Sethi, an endearing 10-year-old Indian-American actor who was picked from among 2000 child actors to play Mowgli. We caught up with the little one, who was in the city to promote the Jon Favreau film, for a quick chat.
Excerpts:
Q. How did you bag this role?

A. I was actually part of an Indian dance class and my teacher happened to hear about this movie. So, I went for the auditions and it worked out pretty well.
Q. You were the chosen one, selected from among several aspirants...

A. 2000, to be precise. It's a cool feeling.
Neel Sethi in a still from Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book

Neel Sethi in a still from Jon Favreau's 'The Jungle Book'
Q. Is this your first visit to India? How has it been so far?

A. I have actually come to India about six to seven times and I love it. I have heard many stories from my grandparents and parents who were so excited when they heard I had got this role. It's great being back in my homeland; India just makes me feel so calm.

Q. Let's talk about the movie. Do you know how historic your role is? And the element of nostalgia attached to the movie?

A. I know now. I'm going to be traveling to Los Angeles, Paris and other cities in a couple of other countries and the reaction that it has been getting is pretty crazy. I went to Rudyard Kipling's house with my parents; it's like being part of something really big and important.
Q. How did your friends react to your selection in the film?

A. They obviously thought it was pretty cool but no one knew it was this big. Back home, there's no star treatment really. I hope it stays like that.
Q. Do you miss school?

A. Nah.
Q. How did you prepare for your role?

A. I had to take a pretty extensive training course in parkour. A lot of the jumping around that you see in the trailer, I did myself. I was literally jumping from one platform to another, except when it was super difficult; then they would bring in someone else.
Q. This is your first film and it boasts of a stellar cast including Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley and Bill Murray. Did you get to meet them?

A. Oh yes! I actually played soccer with Bill Murray a lot and I dubbed with Ben Kingsley as well. I didn't get to meet Scarlett though.
Q. What's the plan from here?

A. I have got a couple of other things in the pipeline. I definitely want to act more, but I also want to be a dentist.
