We struggled with each other: Charlize Theron on shooting with Tom Hardy

Charlize Theron has confirmed that things were not easy between her and British actor Tom Hardy during the filming of 'Mad Max: Fury Road'.

It’s a long acknowledged fact that Theron and Tom weren’t exactly wild about each other during the shooting. Now, the Oscar winner has opened up further on issues with the British actor during the nine months they were shooting. “From what I hear, he’s not like that on every movie,” she told a magazine recently.
Theron added, “Maybe the movie is what it is because we struggled so much with each other, and those characters had to struggle so much with each other. If we were chum-chum, maybe the movie would have been 10 times worse.”
Theron has spoken previously about her onset clashes with Hardy. She said last year that they “drove each other crazy.” And when filming finally ended, her co-star presented her with a self-portrait and the note: “You are an absolute nightmare, BUT you are also f***ing awesome. I’ll kind of miss you. Love, Tommy.”

'Loki' Tom Hiddleston blames Chicago storm on 'Thor' Chris Hemsworth

Actor Tom Hiddleston dropped by a Chicago news station as Loki, the famous fictional character that he portrays in Thor and the Avengers series, to update viewers on the terrible weather hitting the area this weekend.


Hiddleton blamed it all on his onscreen brother Thor (Chris Hemsworth), saying that his “brother from another mother’s been misbehaving”.
“The God of Thunder has brought his skill set to bare on the local weather,” he said, adding that “Chris Hemsworth has taken his hammer and smashed it on the surface of the sky and it’s going to rain a helluva lot.”
Hiddleston and Hemsworth will reprise the roles onscreen again in Thor: Ragnarok, which is set to release on November 3, 2017.

Charlie Sheen's ex Brett Rossi wins temporary restraining order against him

Charlie Sheen’s former fiancee Brett Rossi won a temporary restraining order against the actor this week following reports that he allegedly threatened her life, a source told a website.  Rossi, 27, a former porn star, went to a police station in Van Nuys, California, and obtained the emergency stay-away order Thursday, the source close to Rossi said.

"Honestly, she’s terrified," the source claimed. "He said he was going to pay someone $20,000 to kill her. Lots of people might say, ‘That’s just Charlie being Charlie,’ but we’ve lived through OJ. We don’t take this as a joke." 
The source said Rossi freaked out when top websites claimed Sheen proposed putting the $20,000 bounty on her head during a phone call with a former flame. "This piece of sh-- needs to be f---ing buried," Sheen allegedly said, according to a news portal.
"I’d rather spend 20 grand to have her head kicked in," Sheen allegedly said, as reported on Thursday.

Los Angeles: Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio might face ban from returning to Indonesia after he criticized the nation's palm oil plantations for destroying rain forests.
The environmental activist, 41, visited the Indonesian island of Sumatra last month and posted on Instagram that the palm oil industry was threatening such wildlife in the Leuser Ecosystem as Sumatran elephants, tigers and orangutans.

Plantations often use slash-and-burn techniques to clear forest in the area, reported Us magazine. "The expansion of palm oil plantations is fragmenting the forest and cutting off key elephant migration corridors, making it more difficult for elephant families to find adequate sources of food and water," DiCaprio had written.
Heru Santoso, a spokesperson for the Indonesian government, responded to the posts by threatening to prevent the "Wolf of Wall Street" actor from visiting the Southeast Asian country again.
"We support his concern to save the Leuser ecosystem," Santoso said.
"But we can blacklist him from returning to Indonesia at any time if he keeps posting incitement or provocative statements in his social media."

In a shocking turn of events, television actress (Balika Vadhu fame) Pratyusha Banerjee allegedly committed suicide on 1st April 2016 as she hung herself at her apartment in Kandivali. She was rushed to Kokilaben Hospital, where she was declared 'dead on arrival'.

-Another Police source added," The presence of the fluid could indicate either early stage of pregnancy or infection. Usually, apart from the thickening of the endometrial wall, a sack is visible within four to five weeks if it's pregnancy, but if the sack is not seen, then only a histopathology test can confirm pregnancy."

 

- The forensic surgeons also found, a whitish thick fluid, in the uterus, which is indicative of an early stage of pregnancy. Police Surgeon Dr SM Patil confirmed this to media, "The fluid has been preserved and sent for histopathology tests, to confirm pregnancy and to rule out infection within the uterus."

 

-As per the preliminary postmortem findings " There was a hesitation suicide cut on her left wrist (about 4-5 months old) made using a sharp weapon (perhaps a blade), indicating that Pratyusha might have attempted suicide in the past."

 

- A source close to Police informs Dainik Bhaskar, "To know the reason behind her death may take 15 more days. There is a mark on Pratyusha's neck but the reason behind the mark or the reason behind the death with be clear only after getting the postmortem report. Pratyusha's hair, nails and DNA samples have been sent to phorensic lab. Seven people's statements have been recorded till now, which includes Rahul Singh, Pratyusha's parents and a few of her close friends. It's not yet clear that her death had a reason related to any property issue. Rahul has informed about what was the reason behind their fights and both the families were ready for marriage.

 

- DCP Vikram Deshmane has given the official statement, "ADR No. 18/16 was registered at Bangurnagar Police Station under Section 174 CRPC about Pratyusha Banerjee's death due to hanging. Today postmortem was conducted by panel of doctors at Siddharth hospital. Videography and fotography was also done. Provisional cause of death is ligature, marks over neck are present. Final cause of death is pending for CA report. Statements of parents and relatives of Pratysha was recorded. Her boyfriend Rahul Singh's statement is also being recorded. Enquiry is on. Regards."

 

- Meanwhile, Rahul Raj Singh has been brought to Bangurnagar Police Station. Police with do a detailed enquiry regarding Pratyusha's suicide case. Rahul is pleading to the video saying, 'Main Bekasoor Hoon (I am innocent). Rahul's relatives and lawyer are also there with him.

 

- Jay Bhanushali, Mahie Vij, Bhairavi Raichura, Shilpa Saklani, Apurva Agnihotri, Gajendra Chauhan & his wife, Sara Khan, Rakhi Sawant have arrived at the cremation spot. Many of them have also given their statements about Pratyusha's alleged suicide.

 

- Dressed as a bride, Pratyusha's body is being taken to Oshiwara for cremation. Surprisingly, when the actress body reached the spot for electric cremation, her boyfriend Rahul Raj was nowhere to be seen, and it's been said that he was still at the hospital.

 

- According to senior Police Inspector Bhandare (Bangurnagar), "It is a clear case of suicide, and there is no foul play. Pratyusha's parents have no complaints against anyone and they have recorded a few statements too."

 

- Primary postmortem info says the death is due to hanging. The reason behind death report is yet to come. It took around 3 hours to do the postmortem. A team of two doctors team were involved and the entire postportem procedure was being video recorded. There are marks on her neck. Viscera (Stomach Wash) has been sent to forensic lab &  HP Samples have been sent to JJ Hospital.  Pratyusha had tattooed Rahul's name at her upper back.

 

 

- According to sources, Rahul Raj Singh and Saloni Sharma were allegedly together for the entire night after the incident.

 

- Sources have claimed that Rohit Verma has arrived with the bridal lehenga, which has been designed just how Pratyusha wanted it.

 

- Kapil Sharma's birthday celebration event has been cancelled, as the organisers felt it wasn't the right time to celebrate since Pratyusha was one of their actors.

 

-Pratyusha's father has claimed that Rahul used to beat his daughter.

 

-Building engineer has confirmed that a CCTV footage of Rahul bringing Pratyusha via lift after her death is available.

Police and the hospital confirmed that the actress committed suicide at 12:45 pm. She hung herself from the ceiling fan in her apartment.

 

Pratyusha's father has recorded his first statement in which he has accused Rahul Raj of killing his daughter. He said, "Rahul promised her marriage but never told her when he would marry her. Also, Rahul would often beat up Pratyusha."

 

According to Lina Dias, Rahul was a divorcee. She said, "Rahul was a divorce. Yesterday after the whole incident, Rahul was seen drinking at the backroad of Lokhandwala. Rahul and Saloni Sharma used to torture Pratyusha who wanted to settle, marry and have children but Rahul was not interested in marrying her. Even TV actress Pooja Banerjee claimed that Rahul Raj was eating chips outside the hospital when Pratyusha was declared dead.

 

Rahul Raj had earlier recorded his statement after he went missing in the night.He confirmed that he was the one who brought Pratyusha to the hospital. If sources are to be believed, Rahul Singh invited trouble for himself as he had allegedly flicked the handset and went missing. According to sources, he was allegedly involved in another relationship with a girl called Saloni. 

 

He said, "We used to stay in a 2 bedroom flat and had two keys; one key was with Pratyusha and the other was with me. When I entered the bedroom, I found Pratyusha hanging to the ceiling I got very scared. Immediately, I called the neighbours and with their help I took her to Kokilaben hospital." 

 

"We assumed that she was alive but she wasn't. I got so scared that I did not inform the police. It was the hospital authorities who informed them. After the doctor's declaration, I called up Pratyusha's family members and a few of our close friends," he said

 

In an interview to a leading channel, Rahul Raj said, "We were very much happy with each other and were planning to get married soon. All was well between us and yes, she was depressed due to no work, but I was handling her."

 

"Rahul's female friend used to come to the building and often had a physical altercation with Pratyusha. She had even threatened Rahul. CCTV footage of Rahul bringing Pratyusha's body down via lift is available. He was trying to revive her throughout. Rahul had brought a key maker along with him," said her building engineer

 

Pratyusha's family arrived at the hospital and the doctors have begun the postmortem after her family identified the body. Some sources also suggested that Rahul Raj was planning to sue Pratyusha and her family for 4 crore rupees. He was also consulting a lawyer for the same.

  

 

Pratyusha Banerjee been dressed as a bride in red bridal lehenga for her last rites. It's really saddening that the actresss who wanted to marry soon had to be covered in her bridal outfit after her untimely death.

 

 

 

Reacting to Pratyusha's alleged suicide, her best friend from Bigg Boss days said, "Pratyusha was doing very well on the professional front. There was no such financial issue. We will not give up. She was not happy. We will surely help her in every manner. For sure violence has happened. Police will find the details soon. Did you notice Rahul's reaction? Pratyusha was in a live-in relationship with him. Also, there was no 'sindoor' on her forehead when her body was found. It was a Bengali festival 'sitlaashtmi', that's why she wore a tika made of dahi, sindhoor and rice." 

 

Rakhi Sawant made a shocking revelation pertaining to Pratyusha's relationship troubles. According to Rakhi, "Pratyusha had taken a policy of amount of Rs. 1 crore, which is in the name of Rahul Singh." 

 

Cine and TV actress Sahila, who is very close to Pratyusha's boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh gave her statement and said, "Rahul is traumatised right now. He is innocent. Mumbai Police will do justice to Rahul. 

Every couple has problems, but people staying in their building have also said there was no big fights between Pratyusha and Rahul.

Pratyusha Suicide Case: Rahul Raj Singh Admitted to Hospital

 

Anandi of Balika Vadhu, Pratyusha Banerjee allegedly committed suicide on April 1 by hanging herself from the ceiling fan. Reportedly, her boyfriend Rahul Singh is being investigated in the case. However, now we hear that Rahul Raj Singh is going through mental stress and is said to be hospitalised.

Talking to DailyBhaskar.com a source close to Rahul confirms, “Yes, we are taking him to hospital. Rahul is facing metal stress from yesterday. He is crying and yelling and so he has been asked to be hospitalized due to mental trauma.”

Another source from the hospital says, "He will be taken to the trauma ward for checkup and might go a psychiatric treatment ... Rahul has not slept since yesterday. He has been clamoring banging his head to the wall and creating chaos in the hospital.

Around mid night he was forcibly tied to the bed post his family permitted. He is shattered and says " Pishu please come back don't go. We can make it, Love u, I want to be wit u"

Captain Simratpal Singh Becomes First Sikh to Serve U.S. Military with Beard & Turban

 

Indian-American Sikh military officer, Simratpal Singh, has been granted permission to serve with long hair, beard and a turban in accordance of the Sikh faith.

The U.S. Military's decision makes Simratpal the first active-duty combat soldier in decades to be permitted to wear a turban and beard.
 

The need for uniformity and strict safety standards has been ruled out to end the protracted battle that pitted individual religious freedom rights.

 

The move will make it easier for Muslims, Sikhs, Jews, Wiccans and others to follow the tenets of their faith while serving in the U.S. military.

"My two worlds are once again… I can fully serve my country exactly the way I want to and still be a full Sikh the way I want to be," Simratpal was quoted as saying.

Earlier, Simratpal filed suit against the U.S. military after being ordered to undergo "extraordinary, targeted, repetitive testing" before receiving permanent permission to wear a beard and long hair for his religion.

  

Besides Suicide, These Controversies Surrounding Pratyusha Banerjee, Too, Left Her Fans Shocked

 

Best known for her role as Anandi in one of the most TRP fetching shows Balika Vadhu, Pratyusha Banerjee recently sent a shock wave in the telly world by allegedly committing suicide. The reasons behind her taking such a drastic step are speculated to be either her personal life or her outstanding debts.  

 

But there is no denying the fact that Miss Banerjee was also known to be controversy’s favourite child. She embroiled in controversies from the very beginning of her career. Pratyusha who entered the popular show Balika Vadhu in 2012 made a quick exit within a year and was replaced by Toral Rasputra. Though the 24-year-old actress never clarified the reason behind her sudden exit from the show but as per sources, it was her unprofessional behaviour. 

 

It was also believed that quite a few times, she came drunk on the sets and slept for hours. Moreover, she usually kept her phone off due to which the whole unit had to wait for the actress. Reports also suggest that she used foul language on the sets and thus, the makers took such a step. 

 

This year in January, the actress filed a molestation case against a group of men who she claimed were dressed as fake policemen and gate crashed her house.

 

According to a source, Pratyusha had taken a car loan but certain months later, she failed to pay the EMI which placed her in the defaulter category. When, the recovery agent went to her home for the payment, her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh ended up beating him.

 

Later, when police went to Pratyusha’s home, Rahul was not inside and he and Pratyusha cooked up a molestation story against police.

  

 

Last year in August, Pratyusha Banerjee hosted her birthday bash at Addiction Lounge Hotel, Andheri, which included her close friends from the industry and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh.

 

The party went on for the entire night (9th August midnight– 10th August 2015). Later on, the actress refused to pay the complete bill of her celebration to the hotel management. The accountant of the hotel confirmed the news by saying, “The total bill of the entire party came around 1, 14, 660 (One Lakh Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty) on which, the actress paid 50,000 by cash and the remaining amount of 64,500 were given in cheque. And guess what, the cheque got bounced.”

  

 

In 2015, Pratyusha created a scene when the show makers of 'Darr Sabko Lagta Hai' asked the actress to don a pair of shorts and sleeveless top for an episode. As per reports, the actress left the set at the very last moment which created a stir in media.

  

 

Pratyusha who featured in 'Sasural Simar Ka' (2015) as a vamp was asked to make an exit from the show midway. Although her character as 'Mohini' was highly appreciated but it was her unprofessional behaviour that led the makers take the step. 

  

 

In the year 2013, Pratyusha Banerjee claimed that her ex-boyfriend Makrand Malhotra threatened to assault her. She even filed a complaint against him.

 

But Makrand denied all the allegations made by the actress, on the other hand. He also mentioned in one of his interview that the actress was double dating him. 

Cigarette Factories Shut Down: Know the Ill-effects of Smoking

 

Almost 10 lakh Indians become a victim to tobacco related diseases every year and lose their lives.

 

The notification dated September 24, 2015, released by the Health Ministry over new health warnings on cigarette packages came into effect on April 1. As a result, several cigarette manufacturers ITC, Godfrey Philips and VST shut their factories.

 

The policy, which is being taken into consideration to reduce smoking rates and the occurrence of tobacco-related diseases within India, asks for mandatory larger pictorial warnings, covering 85 percent of the display area on cigarette packages. “Whatever needs to be done to curb tobacco consumption, will be done”, a senior ministry official said.

 

The companies on the other hand, citing an “ambiguity” in the new policy have shut down their factories, thereby claiming to an estimated daily loss of ` 350 crore in “production turnover” for the overall tobacco industry. The TII (Tobacco Institute of India) said that it requires clarification from the Health Ministry about the order on March 15.

 

According to a recent WHO report, smoking and tobacco-related diseases brought an economic burden of around ` 1.04-trillion to the Indian economy.
