No luck without Shahid Kapoor for Ken Ghosh? His Arshad Warsi starrer gets shelved!

Ever since he became a director, Ken Ghosh has been making films with good friend Shahid Kapoor in the lead. Be it his debut film Ishq Vishk or even his last Chance Pe Dance, Kapoor has been featured as the protagonist in all his direction ventures.

Interestingly, after working with the Kaminey star in three projects back to back, Ghosh surprised everyone when he announced his next with Arshad Warsi and R Madhavan, after Chance Pe Dance released in 2010. However now we hear the film has got shelved.

Reveals a source associated with the project, “Ken was working on a project with Arshad and Madhavan in the lead. The duo was to play con men and the film was set up in Haryana. Everything was finalised but in the end the movie was put to rest.”

When contacted Ghosh for a confirmation, he replied saying, “Yes the project is shelved forever. There were some script related issues so the film is not happening anymore.” Produced by Shyam Bajaj, the film was a rustic comedy and reportedly actress Aditi Rao Hydari was in talks for the female lead.

As a result, it appears that Ghosh is taking the ‘no-Shahid-no-luck’ situation too seriously. Because, recently he announced his next, which will be a sequel to his 2003 release, Kapoor starrer hit Ishq Vishk. He says, “Right now we are at the scripting stage. The casting and the production details are yet to be finalised.” Just like the original, the sequel too will be produced by Tips.
