The action flick, which was also his production, did not do as well as he had expected. In fact, on the day of Holi, when reactions started coming in, Johnny boy was visibly tense. Despite the setback, he flew to New Delhi to honour a commitment for the film over the weekend.
The actor’s earlier productions, Vicky Donor (2012) and Madras Cafe (2013) met with good response. John was appreciated as a producer as he knew what would work. Maybe he should steer clear from making films with subjects he is known for — action.
