Bollywood Superstars Shah Rukh Khan will be coming together
with Salman Khan on the latter’s television show ‘Bigg Boss 9’ this weekend. They
have even shot promos in which they are seen revisiting their ‘Karan Arjun’
moment and also singing ‘Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge’ in Jai Veeru style.
This has given rise to speculations among the fans of the Khans
that they might once again reunite on the big screen. However, Shah Rukh has
dashed this hope saying they have no plans of working together in near future.
“There is no such plan of working in a film together. If you
just look at our calendars, our spaces are full. Personally, my calendar is
full. I am sure Salman is also busy. He is shooting for ‘Sultan’ right now and
he told me about his another film,” Shah Rukh told PTI.
The actors, who are back to being friends after a period of
enmity, first worked together in the Rakesh Roshan-directed revenge drama ‘Karan
Arjun’ followed by love story ‘Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam’. Salman also had a guest
role in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.
Both Shah Rukh and Salman are among the highest paid actors
of Bollywood. When asked whether it would be too expensive to cast them
together in a film, King Khan quipped, “I am cheap and sweet. I don’t know
about Salman’s salary.”
The much anticipated film ‘Dilwale’ which hit theatres on
Friday is the only release of the 50-year-old actor this year. The film
directed by Rohit Shetty brings together Shah Rukh and Kajol, one of the most
loved on-screen couple, after a gap of five years.
Kajol and Shah Rukh have been great friends for a long time
and also share equally great chemistry on screen. They are counted among the
most successful on-screen pairs of Bollywood and the reason, according to Shah
Rukh, is that because they have immense respect for each other’s work.
“The first bond which gets created when you start working
with co-stars is through respect. The second part is dignity for each other’s work
and lifestyle. And third part is not being nosy. You have to give space and it
is most important,” he said.
