Filmmaker Anand Kumar is likely to cast Iranian actress and ‘Bigg
Boss 9’ contestant Mandana Karimi and dancer Raghav Juyal in his upcoming production ‘Viral’. The film
is based on social media and is set to go on floors in February.
"Mandana is bold, beautiful, text-savvy and will
connect with today's youngsters who are using Skype, Tinder, What sapp. Today,
communication is all about sharing pictures and sending the same selfie to 10
people around you” Anand was quoted by a leading daily.
"I'm waiting for Mandana to finish her stint in the
'Bigg Boss' house before finalising the modalities and locking her dates,"
the ‘Zila Ghaziabad’ director added.
‘ABCD 2’ actor Raghav, known for his slow-motion dance
moves will be cast opposite Mandana. Raghav’s character in the film is a novice
to social communication and the story is about how all this affects him, Anand
who is also the writer said.
Regarding the title of the movie, the writer-producer explains
that character of the young man compiles all his experiences with social media
into a book titled 'Viral'. Anand plans to shoot the film in Delhi, Mumbai and
Goa.
'Viral' is quite an unusual script. In today's date and time
where social media has taken over everything, we thought it would be
interesting to make a film primarily focusing on this. I feel things have
completely changed after social media hogged the limelight. Relationships have
taken a back seat and now it's all about lust," Anand was quoted saying about
the film.
He has joined hands with Endemol India for the project which
will be directed by debutant Raaj Nadar. "It feels great to have tied up
with Endemol India. We are looking at this film on a large scale. Looking at
today's scenario, there is no way that we could make this film a conservative
one. So yes, it's going to be a bold film,” the producer added.
