Priyanka Chopra to star in ‘Baywatch’ movie?

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra who is making waves internationally with her American television series ‘Quantico’ is all set to take Hollywood by storm. The actress has been reportedly approached to star in ‘Baywatch’ movie, according to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’.
The former Miss World is in talks to join actor-producer Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in the big screen adaptation of the 1990s popular series ‘Baywatch’.  The hit series on NBC network was based on the adventures of a team of California lifeguards on a crowded beach.
Although Priyanka is still in talks with Paramount Pictures for the movie, if she signs the project, it will mark her Hollywood debut. She will play the antagonist if the actress does the movie.
The movie will be directed by Seth Gordon known for his films like ‘Horrible Bosses’ and ‘Freakonomics’. Actor Alexandra Daddario will play the character of Summer which was played by Nicole Eggert in the teleseries, while model-turned-actor Kelly Rohrbach has been signed on to play Pamela Anderson’s iconic character of C J Parker.
The movie's plot revolves around a lifeguard, played by Dwayne Johnson who teams up with a hotshot former Olympian, played by Zac Efron in an attempt to save his bay. The film will follow the comedy route and is expected to begin rolling in the next few months. It is slated to release sometime in 2017.
Meanwhile, Priyanka is riding high on her success. The 33-year-old actress recently bagged the People's Choice Award for Best Actress in a New TV series for her maiden American show ‘Quantico’. Her latest Bollywood outing ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is also doing extremely well at the box office. She will be next seen in the role of an IPS officer in Prakash Jha’s sequel film ‘Jai Gangaajal’ slated to hit screens on March 4.
