The city of Chennai was battered by a devastating flood
towards the end of last year. Among the people who extended help during the
crisis were celebrities from the south film industry as well as from Bollywood.
Now, a bevy of actors from South cinema have come together
for a video song titled ‘Spirit of Chennai’ as a tribute to the flood victims
as well as to all those who came forward to help the stranded people by braving
Nature’s fury.
According to a DNA report, Tamil actor Chiyaan Vikram will
be directing and producing the video song which will feature a host of south
cinema artists like Suriya, Vijay Sethupathy, Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly and Telugu
stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, who are currently also shooting for the
sequel of ‘Baahubali’.
Other actors who will also appear in the music video include
Ram Charan Teja, Nani, Puneet Rajkumar, Yash, Nithya Menen, Bobby Simha and Hansika
Motwane. The music for the video is credited to C Girinandh.
The shooting of the song is
already underway and is progressing at Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha at T
Nagar in Chennai. The teaser of the song was released recently. A picture of
Vikram and Suriya on the set of the song shoot was also uploaded on Twitter.
The actors have already
shot with Nithya Menen, Bobby Simha and Vijay Sethupathy.
