India vs West Indies was an absolute thriller but India’s loss
meant that a million hearts were broken in just 1 ball. While the West
Indian players celebrated their win (and deservedly so), their Indian
counterparts looked dejected. Virat Kohli’s hung head to MSD’s attempt
to cheer his players; the Indian team was seen going through all sorts
of emotions.
Pictures always manage to capture human emotions in its raw form
and those taken after the match show how the Indian players and the West
Indies players felt. As the captain and the vice-captain walked
together it seems as if they were still trying to digest the fact that
their run in the tournament had ended.
While the mood in the Indian dressing room was somber, the West
Indians were excited and joyous. Many said that West Indies did not just
win the match; they actually won the hearts of a million people.
Ashish Nehra bowled an exceptional over at the death but even that wasn't enough to keep the Windies at bay.
MSD was all smiles with his dear friend Dwayne Bravo after the match. Dhoni posted this picture on Instagram.
Andre Russell played a blinder to get Windies a well-deserved win.
Russell came out to bat after Charles Johnson had been dismissed by
Virat Kohli.
Even Virat Kohli's luck and hardwork couldn't take India over the ropes this time as he had only 8 to defend in the final over.
West Indies will now be looking to win their 2nd World T20 title by defeating England in the finals.
