Comedy Nights with Kapil: Harbhajan Singh sings for wife Geeta

Newly married couple Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra made their first public appearance on the popular show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil. The couple got to relive their wedding moments as they were welcomed with Punjabi wedding songs creating a marriage ambience.
Harbhajan and Geeta seek the blessings of Navjot Singh Sidhu who danced a few bhangra steps with them. The couple also revealed many of their secrets.
The off-spinner said that he was bowled over by Geeta after watching her in a song ‘Woh Ajnabee’ from the film ‘The Train’. He called her up but, she didn’t recognise who he was. Geeta revealed that she doesn't belong to cricket family, and it took her almost 10 months to accept his proposal. Explaining his new bride’s knowledge about cricket, Bhajji said that she actually cheered him once when he got out hit-wicket.
Host Kapil Sharma even made the couple play cricket on the show where Geeta gets to beat Harbhajan, whom she lovingly calls ‘Bhajju’. Kapil also tested Geeta’s general knowledge and asked her where the Taj Mahal is, but she flips the question and recalls the incident when she was humiliated by her fiends for not knowing where Red fort was. She tells Kapil that she has not come for history class but for comedy nights. Kapil replies that with her answers the show will turn back to comedy nights.
Kapil also made Harbhajan to sing the cult classic ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ for Geeta, but the fun part was that he ended up using wrong lyrics replacing ‘hota’ (happens) with rota (crying). Geeta who is a fan of Madhuri Dixit, responded to this dancing to ‘Dhak Dhak Karne Laga’, at the request of a fan.
As a part of the marriage party, duplicates of Sachin, Virat, Ishant and even Sidhu arrived on the stage. The cricketer’s team and Kapil’s team had a game of ‘shayaris’.
Finally, the new bride Geeta was sent off with a ‘bidai’ ceremony.
