There has been a lot of buzz around Bollywood hunk Hrithik
Roshan’s upcoming project with filmmaker Sanjay Gupta to be directed by his father
Rakesh Roshan, ever since it was announced a few months back. Recently the ‘Jazbaa’
director also confirmed it on his Twitter handle.
The yet untitled film is said to be an intense love story
and the ‘Bang Bang’ actor is very excited about it. Apparently, Hrithik even
requested the makers to begin work earlier then schedule and wanted to start shooting
for it from January, next year. Reportedly, he has postponed his collaboration
with ‘Dhoom 3’ director Vijay Krishna Acharya (Viktor) for the Sanjay Gupta’s
film.
However, according to latest buzz, the film has run into legal
troubles with actor-writer Sudhanshu Pandey claiming to be the writer of the
script.
A report in DNA quoted a source as saying that the script
had first gone to Ekta Kapoor, but then when Sanjay Gupta met Hrithik,
Sudhanshu and Ekta were left out of the picture with the Roshans wanting to
produce it.
The source further claimed that Sudhanshu has filed a
complaint in IFTPC (Indian Film and TV Producers Council). He has apparently
claimed that Rakesh Roshan wanted to produce the film all by himself and wanted
to credit Sudhanshu as associate producer, which reportedly didn't go down well
with the actor-writer.
Sudhanshu was allegedly kept in the dark till he heard that
the film was to begin shooting from January.
Meanwhile, mystery continued as to the female lead of the
untitled film. Earlier there were reports the Kareena Kapoor Khan will be
paired opposite Hrithik, but the actress had declined. Later, ‘Ashiqui 2’
actress Shraddha Kapoor’s name also came up. However, the makers are yet to
finalize the lead actress.
