Salman Khan’s biography to hit stands on his 50th birthday in Dec

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan comes from a family heavily attached to Bollywood and the actor has been in the limelight for his controversial personal life as well as his movies and acting skills. He has established himself in Bollywood in such a way that his mere presence in a movie is sufficient to make it click with the audience.
A book on this larger-than-life persona exploring his personal life and family lineage is set to hit the stands next month. The biography of Salman Khan is titled ‘Being Salman’ will be released on the occasion of his 50th birthday on December 27, the publishers of the book Penguin India revealed in a statement. The book has been authored by Delhi-based journalist Jasim Khan and is the first ever to be written on the superstar, the statement added.
Salman made his acting debut in 1988 with a supporting role in ‘Biwi Ho Toh Aisi’, he has charmed his way into the hearts of millions with a slew of his romantic and blockbusters including ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, ‘Saajan’, ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and the more recent ‘Dabangg’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.
He has also made philanthropic venture by setting up a charitable trust Being Human Foundation for the cause of underprivileged and the NGO Being Human which also garners funds by selling T-shirts and other merchandise.
Salman’s personal life is also replete with controversies with long drawn legal cases against him. He has also courted controversies due to his string of girlfriends, mentoring newcomer heroines and a fight with colleague.
“Which is the real Salman Khan? Why is he the way he is? This book delves into Salman’s family lineage and his personal history to reveal interesting vignettes and unknown facts about the enigmatic and immensely popular superstar, and will help his many fans understand what ‘Being Salman’ is all about,” publishers said.
