Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan might walk out Yash Raj Films’
upcoming film titled ‘Thug’, reports suggest. The action-packed movie is
expected to go on floors this month and will be directed by Vijay Krishna
Acharya who worked with the ‘Bang Bang’ star in ‘Dhoom 2’.
A report in Bollywood Life quoted a source as saying, “Hrithik
isn’t yet on board this project. The film is going to have a huge budget and he
wants to make sure the script is in its right place. A lot of focus has been on
the special effects so he is worried that the story and plot might take a back
seat.”
Hrithik is starring in epic adventure-romance film ‘Mohenjo
Daro’ helmed by Ashutosh Gowariker. It is also a big budget film. The actor
seems to be apprehensive and wants to wait and watch how ‘Mohenjo Daro’
performs when it releases.
“Hrithik has told producer Aditya Chopra that he is not
fully convinced to be a part of ‘Thug’. He wants to see how ‘Mohenjo Daro’
fares at the box-office and then take a decision.”
It is also said that the reason behind the actor’s decision
to walk out is that Deepika Padukone has said no to the project. ‘Thug’ is said
to be an adventure flick on the lines of ‘Mission Impossible’ and the film will
also feature megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Meanwhile, Hrithik’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ starring Pooja Hegde and
Kabir Bedi among others is slated to release on August 12.
