Boman Irani gets police protection following threat call from underworld don Ravi Pujari

Bollywood actor Boman Irani has been provided with police protection after allegedly receiving threat calls from underworld don Ravi Pujari. The actor, whose film ‘Happy New Year’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead, is slated to release this year on Diwali, received the call a few days ago.

As per sources, Pujari is interested in overseas rights of ‘Happy New Year’. The underworld fugitive had reportedly also threatened producer brothers Ali and Karim Morani, who are also the producers of the movie. Karim Morani is an accused in the 2G scam and is considered to be close to Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.

According to sources, Pujari had also called Khan’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment and had allegedly warned the actor against working with the Morani brothers.
Pujari has in the past made many threat calls to various film personalities.
