Mary Kom, Khoobsurat, Dawaat-e-Ishq: Females set to rule Box office this September

While it is always said that Bollywood is biased towards males as compared to their female counterparts, in terms of film roles and remuneration, there have been a number of films, at the same time, where women have played an important part.

Mother India, Chak De India, Lajja, or more recently The Dirty Picture, Fashion or Herione are perfect examples where Bollywood has not at all shied away from displaying the power of women. These films were not only carried solely by women, but even went on to become superhits setting the cash registers ringing.

The industry again seems to be in the same mode as it has a line of women centric films all this month. So with females all set to take the lead once again, the time seems just right to check out the female centric stuff Bollywood has in store for September.
