Box-office: Ranbir, Deepika's ‘Tamasha' opens with a bang

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Tamasha’, directed by Imtiaz Ali opened to a great start. The film hit the theatres on Friday and did an excellent collection at the box-office on the opening day. Released in over 2100 screens in India, ‘Tamasha’ opened to a mixed reviews and registered opening day occupancy of 90% which is marvellous.

Audience appreciated the film and trade analyst had the feeling that ‘Tamasha’ box-office will turn out to be Ranbir Kapoor highest opener of his career. The film is expected to earn 20-25 crore on the opening Friday.  Film critics appreciated Ranbir’s acting. ‘Tamasha’ might prove turning in Ranbir’s career after back-to-back flops.  Speaking about Deepika, she has yet again proved her excellence in Bollywood.

Imtiaz Ali’s direction, AR Rahman’s music, Deepika and Ranbir’s chemistry, exotic locations and many such facets make ‘Tamasha’ stands out.

The advance booking and positive response indicate that ‘Tamasha’ would end up with a fruitful collection at the ticket counter. From day one, Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’ strike the correct music. After a long gap, audience get to witness Ranbir-Deepika’s incredible chemistry. Looking ex-couple romance on-screen is something which attracts the audience and it so happened in ‘Tamasha’.

Moreover, ’Tamasha’ is a well promoted film, Ranbir and Deepika left no stone unturned to promote the movie on TV shows and events.

‘Tamasha’ might hamper Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ collection. The exact figure of ‘Tamasha’ is awaited.
