Shah Rukh Khan reveals about his “bestest” friend and mentor

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan shares a strong bond with filmmakers Karan Johar, Farah Khan and actress Kajol who are some of his closest buddies in the industry. He is also friends with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan with whom he has mended his relationship. But, King Khan has another “bestest” friend in his life.

The ‘Chennai Express’ star recently revealed about his old friend Divya Seth who is not only his best friend, but also was his first mentor.

“My bestest friend Divya, who taught me acting. Don’t hold the bad ones I do, only the good inspired by her teachings,” Shah Rukh shared on micro-blogging site Twitter and also posted a picture of him with the actress.

Divya is Shah Rukh’s friend from his theatre days. She was his batch-mate when Shah Rukh joined theatre with Barry John at Delhi's theatre action group. Both of them have acted together in Lekh Tandon’s television series ‘Dil Dariya’.

The two old friends recently bumped into each other at Mumbai’s Olive restaurant. Shah Rukh captured the moment by immediately taking a selfie with Divya, and shared it with his fans over the social media.

Divya is the daughter of veteran actress Sushma seth and is a well-known face on the small screen. She is known for her work in popular shows such as ‘Hum Log’, ‘Banegi Apni Baat’ and ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’. She was also seen in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’ as Shahid Kapoor’s mother. She was last seen in Zoya Akthar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
