I'm not getting married in January, Preity Zinta speaks out

Speculations were rife that Bollywood actress Preity Zinta was all set to tie the knot with her American boyfriend in January, but the actress has cleared the airs about her marriage rumours.

The dimpled beauty took to Twitter to deny her marriage rumours saying that she has no plans to get married for a year and that she will let know everyone whenever she ties the knot.

“Also It's getting a bit wierd telling people that I'm not getting Married in January. I PROMISE I will TELL U ALL AS & WHEN I DO !!! Ting,” the ‘Veer-Zaara’ actress wrote on the micro-blogging site.

He tweet was followed by one of her fans who teased her by posting, “This means you are getting Married in December …………Thanks.”

This irked the bubbly actress who replied, “Grrrrrrrrr ! I don’t want to hear this word or have this discussion for another year at least … Plssssss!”

Recently, there were reports that Preity was settling down with her American boyfriend Gene Goodenough and they were to be get married in a small and intimate ceremony in the US in January next year.

Preity and Gene have been going steady for a while now. Few months back, Preity had confirmed being in relationship with "someone nice" and tweeted, "Yes, I'm in a relationship with someone nice. Finally, I have time for myself as the cricket doesn't need me physically."

Thirty-year-old Gene works as a financial analyst in Los Angeles. As per reports, Gene and Preity met during one of the actress’ trips to the States a few years ago. Preity's brother and little niece live in the US and she visits them regularly, and thus, has a lot of very good friends in America, a close source to the actress had said.

Preity who is also the co-owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab, had the company of Gene during this year’s IPL. After the final, she flew back with him to the US as he had to return to work. Gene also stood by Preity throughout her problems with her ex-boyfriend industrialist Ness Wadia.

Preity was earlier in a four-year-long relationship with Ness, but in May last year, she accused him molesting her during an IPL match in Mumbai and filed charges against him for molestation, threats, and physical as well as verbal abuse.

On the work front, Preity, who was last seen in a cameo in the 2014 film ‘Happy Ending’, will be next seen in Sunny Deol starrer ‘Bhaiyyaji Superhitt’.
