After extensive promotions from visiting television shows to
the unique idea of undertaking an overnight train journey, ‘Tamasha’ finally
hits theatres. It has been one of the most awaited films of 2015. The lead
actors of the film Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have a huge fan base and
their fans will definitely flock to the theatres to watch their favourite
stars.
Here are some more reasons to catch ‘Tamasha’ at the
theatres.
Ranbir-Deepika pairing
The former lovers-turned-good friends not only share a
crackling onscreen chemistry, they are also splendid actors. The couple has
been often compared to the iconic romantic couple of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan
and Kajol. They shared screen space in their last film ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’
post their break-up and amazed everyone with their comfortable rapport. It is
expected that they will scorch the screen in ‘Tamasha’ as well.
Imtiaz Ali makes love stories with a difference, which
verges on the unconventional. His previous films ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Rockstar’
had unique concepts and explored the relationship in different forms. An
entertainment portal quoted the director as saying, "'Tamasha' has that
kind of love which makes a normal person extraordinary, which makes a commoner
an artist. This is the kind of love through which you understand why you need a
woman in life and how it takes you on a journey through which we identify
ourselves."
Music
Music is an important part of any Imtiaz Ali film, and the soundtrack
for the film has been composed by Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman who also
created music for the director’s ‘Highway’ and ‘Rockstar’. All the songs are
very integral to the film and form a part of the film’s story. Moreover,
singers Alka Yagnik who sang ‘Agar Tum Saath Ho’ and Lucky Ali who crooned ‘Safarnama’
are being heard after a long time.
Locations
Like Imtiaz’s other films, ‘Tamasha’ also explores beautiful
locations across different countries and cities. The film has been shot in the scenic
island of Corsica with breathtaking coastlines and mountains, to Tokyo, Shimla,
Delhi and Kolkata. Especially the French island has been captured beautifully
with its culture and old-world charm.
Release time
‘Tamasha’ is being released when there is no other big
release. Last week too there was no major Bollywood film in theatres, and
Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ which released two weeks ago was a family
drama. An intense romance film like ‘Tamasha’ is also releasing after a long
time.
