Bigg Boss 9: Rimi Sen admits to being paid huge sum for the show

Bollywood actress Rimi Sen after whining in ‘Bigg Boss 9’ for seven weeks is finally relieved to be out of the show. The ‘Dhoom’ actress since the beginning of the show has been asking fellow contestants to nominate her for evictions and has also requested Bigg Boss and host Salman Khan to take her out.
She has also not been showing any interests in the task and got on the nerves of other housemates. The contestants were really irritated when they lost their luxury budget as she did not take part in the task. Moreover, when an opportunity came to win it, she unabashedly refused to part with her make-up to get the luxury budget for the house.
However, she refused to leave the house when recently Bigg Boss opened the main doors and asked the housemates that whoever wishes to leave the show may do so. She reasoned that she has already spent seven weeks in the house and she wanted to get evicted by the normal process of vote count.
There were reports that Rimi would be paid an enormous amount of Rs 2 crore for participating in the reality show. Now that she is out of the show, the actress has revealed that she has indeed been paid a huge sum and money was a major factor for her entering the Big Boss house, but she did not disclose the amount.
“I cannot breach my contract and tell you how much it was (the fee), because that would not be right. But it is true that they gave me a lot of incentive to enter the show. These are their convincing tactics, which they use to get people. Although my nature is very different, I also got convinced,” Rimi told in an interview to DNA.
She also said that she had always wanted to come out of the Bigg Boss house as she was not made for the show like this. “For me living in a limited budget, staying without food or water for hours together was torture not task. The fact that I had gone into house to stay with 13 strangers was in itself a task. But I participated in all the tasks, and did them only till I was comfortable,” she said.
Rimi thanked Salman Khan for motivating and encouraging her and said that she will personally meet him and apologize for disappointing him and failing to entertain viewers.
“I entered the Bigg Boss house to gain experience, and not to win the game. I never wanted to go ahead in the game. Initially, I thought the show was scripted but soon realized that everything was real. I am genuinely sorry I disappointed Salman Khan,” she added.
However, she doesn’t feel her stint in ‘Bigg Boss 9’ will have any negative impact on her career. “I think my journey in the 'Bigg Boss' has got nothing to do with my career in Bollywood. I have no fears. Both are different genres. I was jobless for last three years when I took up 'Bigg Boss'. The work that I did in Bollywood was more creative. In Bollywood, you are not asked to do 36/48 hours long tasks,” the actress quipped.
Rimi has decided to take some time off enjoying her freedom and splurging on shopping and watching films. Thereafter, she’ll get back to work. “I have a Bollywood script which I am reading for direction and I will start work on that,” she said.
