Several actors have landed up at the doorsteps of filmmakers in their character’s avatar to convince them that they can play a given role. Purab Kohli took the same route for the upcoming film, Airlift. The actor went to meet the film’s director, Raja Krishna Menon, in an unkempt, scruffy look which convinced him that Purab could pull off the role. Appearances do matter, when it comes to the casting process.
