Actress Katrina Kaif recently had a major tiff with
filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, the director of her upcoming film ‘Fitoor’. Katrina
had shot for an intense lovemaking scene with co-star Aditya Roy Kapur, but the
scene did not turn out as per Abhishek’s expectations.
According to reports, Abhishek was not entirely happy with
the way things have shaped up for the film. ‘Fitoor’ wrapped up its shooting in
October, and after watching the rushes on the editing Tabule, Abhishek felt that
the love-making scene between the lead pair was not up to the mark, so he
called for a re-shoot of the sequence. The passionate love-making scene is just
one of the scenes that will be re-shot, the report added.
On learning about the director’s plans, Katrina was angry
and strongly disagreed to re-shoot the sequence. The actress was not
comfortable doing love-making scenes and re-shooting them proves to be a bigger
pain. She threw a fit on the sets and put her foot down refusing to shoot the
scene once again.
It took a lot of efforts from the makers to convince Katrina
and make her agree to re-enact the sequence once again. Eventually, the team
with its lead cast re-shot the entire scene at a suburban studio a few days
ago.
The film has already been delayed by months after veteran
actress Rekha decided to walk out. She was later replaced by Tabu. The
film for the first time pairs Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur and also
features Lara Dutta.
‘Fitoor’ is said to be an adaption of renowned novelist
Charles Dickens’ classic ‘Great Expectations’. Produced
by Siddharth Roy Kapur’s UTV Motion Pictures, the film is slated to hit screens
on Valentine Day weekend on February 12, 2016.
