Recently, there were reports that television actress
Jennifer Winget has demanded a huge alimony from her estranged husband Karan
Singh Grover. But, the ‘Hate Story 3’ actor has refused to pay the sum.
Reports further stated that until the alimony deal is
sealed, the actress will not sign the divorce papers which in turn will create
a problem for Karan getting married to his rumoured lover Bipasha Basu.
However, Jennifer has denied any truth to these reports and
wished Karan and Bipasha a happy life. The ‘Dil Mil Gayye’ actress took to her social
media account to clarify the reports.
She wrote, “To all my fans and well-wishers…2016 has begun
on a resounding note for me across the work front…2016 promises to be a
watershed year for me and I’m looking forward to it…I have firmly moved on as
far as my past relationship goes and want to resolutely dispute media reports
that I’m seeking alimony from my ex-husband…it’s actually incorrect…I’m
delighted to learn that he’s moved on in life and would like to wish his
partner & him all the very best in all their future endeavors.”
Karan and Jennifer came across each other on the sets of
television drama ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay’ and also worked together in ‘Dil Mil
Gayye’. The fell in love during the show and tied the knot towards the end of
it in 2012. They parted ways after two years of marriage and Jennifer revealed
their separation in November 2014.
The estranged couple is yet to obtain an official divorce,
as per reports.
