Filmmaker Karan Johar was summoned by Mumbai Police to record his
statement in the controversial All India Bakchod (AIB) roast. The
event was held in Worli in December 2013. He along with Ranveer Singh,
Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone are also likely to be summoned for using abusive
words on the show.
“We have summoned Karan Johar, which essentially means he will have to come
to the Tardeo police station to give his statement. His statement will be an
important part of the charge sheet that is yet to be submitted to the court,”
said an officer from the Tardeo police station, reports Hindustan Times.
Karan Johar who is out of the country for his new film, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’
has sought some time and promised to co-operate fully with the police in the
case. Police are in touch with his advocate. Johar will record his statement
soon after he returns.

Social activist Santosh Daundkar claimed that the content of the show is'vulgar' and approached a city court in February 2014.
Actors Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone and more others will
be summoned by Mumbai Police and will record their statements individually.
