Has the Dracula Myth been exploited?

In the history and legend of eastern Europe, Dracula was the popular name of Vlad the Impaler, a merciless Romanian tyrant of the 1400's.
Dracula means 'heir of the Order of the Dragon' dedicated to fighting the Turks.

The character Dracula undoubtedly has been hauled in various Films, Plays, Novels and Television shows for the purpose of viewing and cinematic pleasure and recreating its history, with the name being associated with Count Dracula, the vampire on numerous instances.
Star Movies is premiering  the epic action adventure Dracula Untold on Sunday, December 6 at 1pm and 9pm, exclusively on Star Movies.
