The makers of Salman Khan starrer film ‘Sultan’ have roped
in UFC fighter Tyron Woodley to feature in the movie based on wrestling.
This is not the first time that the Mixed Martial Arts champ
who is popular as ‘T-Wood’ and ‘The Chosen One’ will be seen on the big screen.
Tyron had earlier featured in American biographical film ‘Straight Outta
Compton’ which released earlier this year.
A few weeks ago, Tyron announced that he was heading to
India to shoot for ‘Sultan’.
“Filming Sultan in India. This dude @beingsalmankhan is a
God to the people of India! You Mention #SalmanKhan and your street cred
skyrockets. Guess that’s what happens when you are top 15 wealthiest actors in
the world. I’m trying to take this worldwide! From #HollyHood to #Hollywood and
currently #Bollywood,” he posted on his Instagram page.
After wrapping up his schedule earlier this week, Tyron
reached out to the superstar and wrote, “It's a wrap for the day! Get this
makeup off me!!!! #Sultan @sultanmovie @beingsalmankhan Solid work today
brother! I'm inspired??”
Tyron holds a brown belt in Brazilian jujitsu and is known
for his explosiveness, speed, power, wrestling, pressure and technique. He is currently
ranked number 2 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) welterweight
division with a 15-3 (Wins-Losses) record.
While Salman will have a face-off with Tyron in the film,
Randeep Hooda who worked with the the actor in ‘Kick’, will play the role of
his trainer.
Salman will play the titular role of Haryanvi wrestler
Sultan Ali Khan in the film being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by
Yash Raj Films.
‘Sultan’ is slated to release on Eid next year.
