Khan, Karan Singh Grover and Sharman Joshi starrer ‘Hate Story 3’ had got a
promising start at the domestic box-office. The film listed among the top
highest openers of 2015. The film beat not only its prequel but also Akshay
Kumar’s ‘Baby’.
‘Hate Story 3’ directed by Vishal Pandya has earned approximately Rs 9.72
crore on opening day at the domestic box office. The erotic thriller broke defeated
Akshay's ‘Baby’ which made Rs 9.3 crore on day one.
"Despite an ordinary star cast, #HateStory3 takes a FANTASTIC start.
Fri Rs 9.72 cr. Should recover costs in opening weekend itself!" trade
analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
"#HateStory: 1078 screens ... #HateStory2: 1955 screens ...
#HateStory3: 2690 screens ... Clearly, the franchise is only
strengthening!" he tweeted.
Made on a budget of around Rs 13.2 crore, the film has already recovered 70%
of its production cost on the first day.
"#HateStory3 has cost Rs 6.5 cr make. Plus, Rs 6.7 cr for print +
advertising. Total cost: Rs 13.2 cr... SUPER HIT in terms of economics,"
Adarsh added.
‘Hate Story 3’is the successful franchise of ‘Hate Story’ and ‘Hate Story 2’.
After the success of first and second instalments, the makers have come up with
the third part.
The film registered opening day occupancy of more than 90% at several
places. However, the film fared well in single theatres compared to
multiplexes. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, 'Hate Story 3' talks about
relationships, love, hatred and vengeance.
