Ex-lovers Ranbir-Deepika to star again in Sanjay Dutt biopic?

Former lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone may blaze the silver screen once again in Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic of Sanjay Dutt, if reports are to be believed.
The ‘PK’ director is quite excited about the project as it would be the first time he would be working on a biopic. Hirani and Sanjay have known each other for years and the director wanted to capture all the moments of Sanjay’s life, the known and unknown sides of him.
Ranbir has been confirmed to play the role of the ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ actor, while Kangana Ranaut is being considered for the role Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata. The ‘Queen’ actress was in the news a few months ago after she was reportedly spotted visiting and leaving Hirani's house with a bound script.
Now there’s a report that strongly suggests that Deepika will also come on board for the project. A report in spotboye.com quoted an inside source that the ‘Chennai Express’ star has “liked the part, but no paperwork has been done yet. She will read the script at length when she is back from her New Year holiday.”
Sanjay Dutt has seen a lot of controversies in his life from his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts and his much-talked-about affair with Madhuri Dixit. However, according to the report, the biopic will not have any mention of the ‘Khalnayak’ actress. Rather it will focus on Sanjay Dutt’s other relationships – with his sister Priya Dutt, wife Manyata and late wife Richa Sharma.
Deepika's role in the film will reportedly be a mix of Richa Sharma and Tina Ambani, while Kareena Kapoor Khan will play the role of his sister Priya. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan may play the role of Sanjay Dutt’s father late actor Sunil Dutt, as per the report.
However, there has been no official confirmation yet.
