It came as a shock for the television industry when small
screen actor-couple Rashami Desai and Nandish Sandhu revealed about their
impending divorce. While Rashami’s family and friends believe that Nandish was
cheating on her, his well-wishers blamed Rashami’s possessive nature for the
damage.
However, the real reason for the couple’s split is Nandish’s
closeness to former beauty queen Ankita Shorey. According to a report in Tellychakkar.com,
Nandish's affair with Ankita had forced Rashami to call it quits with Nandish.
Quoting a source, the report said that Ankita, who was
crowned Miss India International 2011 is the new lady who is all cozy with
Nandish. The duo has been spotted hanging out together at social gatherings and
events. When Rashami came to know about this, she decided to finally part ways.
Nandish's casanova image is not a secret and his affairs
have always been known to the media. He was in a live-in relationship with
actress Aaradhana Uppal before getting married to Rashami. He also had an
affair with DJ Gouri which created trouble in his marital relationship.
Rashami and Nandish who met on the sets of TV show ‘Uttaran’
and fell in love, tied the knot in February, 2011. The couple saw a lot of ups
and down in their marriage which hit a rocky patch first in 2013 allegedly due
to Nandish’s philandering ways. They sorted the issues and decided to give
their relationship another shot.
They featured together in dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye 7’
and in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 6’. The couple openly discussed their marital
problems and revealed about Rashami's miscarriage on the dance show. They also
admitted that the show helped them analyse their past mistakes and rediscover
each other.
However, only recently it was revealed that the couple has
filed for divorce a few months ago and have been living separately for the last
three months.
